Newborn babies are best photographed from around 6-10 days old.
At this age, babies remain very sleepy and are not as easily disturbed while dreaming, and their skin is usually clear.
As newborns get older (10 days) they tend to have longer awake periods, be disturbed more easily and become more challenging to settle. Please contact me to reserve a date whilst you are pregnant in order to secure your booking.
To achieve optimum results, I prefer to shoot in the morning around your child’s general sleep routine. Newborn babies respond best after a feed and I am flexible to fit in around your child’s needs that day.
When shooting outside, I prefer to shoot late afternoon to get the beautiful soft light.
Our brand new state of the art studio is easily located from the Eastern Freeway, approximately 15 kms east of the city in Lower Templestowe.
I also love to photograph outside and have some fantastic locations close to the studio as well as beach sessions on the beautiful Mornington peninsula.
I am available during the week as well as weekends. Weekends can be the most popular and tend to book out quicker. Sessions in the studio start at 10:30am I find its the best time of the day generally for everyone as well as other siblings. Outdoor sessions times vary between seasons from winter to summer but generally run later in the day to capture the beautiful soft golden light!
